At the beginning of my marriage, I used to believe that the submissive role the church encouraged was so much antiquated nonsense. Then I tried it for a little while - letting my husband be the man and wear the pants, make the decisions, handle the money, etc., instead of wanting a more modern relationship.
A former boss of mine used to "wear the pants in his family." Of course, his wife would pick them out for him...
