Denying that the holocaust occurred is a crime in Austria. It needs to be.

Why? Are Austrians less human than Americans? Or do you perhaps think that we need (more) thought crime laws here too? Please elaborate on this point of yours.

Hitler was Austrian. Duh. Austria has living Nazis, lots of them. Members of its government in recent times have been past members of the Nazi party. Extreme nationalists have direct ideological and personal reasons to whitewash the subject. The same laws exist in Germany and they are needed there too.
