Robert Schindler, who led efforts to save the life of brain-disabled daughter Terri Schiavo, is in a hospital intensive care unit in Florida after suffering a stroke.
Doctors are trying to stabilize Schindler after the stroke Sunday and what may have been a residual stroke Tuesday, said his son, Bobby Schindler Jr.
Bobby Schindler told WND today his father has lost strength in his right side and his speech is slurred, but the cognitive part of his brain is functioning well, and he has no problem with memory.

Oh my gosh!! You are too funny. I was thinking something similiar. I was thinking "Where is Michael Shivo? Lock the doors of the hospital IMMEDIATELY!!!!!" Hope you get better Mr. Schiavo.
Mr. Schiavo had his wife killed and should burn in hell for it. Mr. Schindler (Terri's father) needs our prayers.
I got the names confused! Whoever is Terri's father is who I am praying for. Thank you for the post to make this correction.
Absolutely I have watched the woman I loved most in my life go through something similiar and would not have prolonged her suffering one moment though I adored her.
No big deal. :-)
Don't lie. I have not made Schiavo out to be anything other than one not joining the pretense that Terri was still there in any real sense.
No "murder" happened outside the minds of fanatics. The same kind of decisions are made hundreds of times a day but the MSM does not publicize them 24/7 as they did this charade.
Will I mentioned expense and limited resources I never once claimed this was about money. It was about human dignity and the rights of people to make decisions about such circumstances as Terri was in. However, that does not mean that every case should have all the money possible thrown at it not matter how many others are deprived of help they could have effectively used.
Hopefully you won't have to face interference with your family decisions which you applaud so enthusiastically wrt Terri. And you lie once again in claiming I feel any kind of joy at her demise.
I can only speak for my actions and never had to face the realities that Michael Schiavo did. And I do know for a FACT that she would have never wanted to be maintained in the condition Terri was in. I am not moved to hatred of the man for his actions and do not consider them particularly relevant even though they outraged many whose business they were not. Who would not feel sypathetic to one who realizes his wife is never coming back.
Besides this is no win question for me since if I say "I would have been faithful" you can just say I lie. But during the twenty years of my marriage I never ONCE had even an inclination towards unfaithfulness. My wife was not just my beloved but my best friend whom I chose to spend time with over anyone. No agony is worse than watching suffering which you can do NOTHING about.
"Playing God"? Talk about turning reality on its head. Terri would have been LONG gone had God's will been obeyed. People DIE when afflicted like that UNLESS man tries to stave off the inevitable. This would never have even been a case a couple of decades ago and without someone else paying the bills won't be for any but the wealthy even today.
Unless you can point to some piece of evidence that nobody else is aware of, this is at best speculation on the part of her estranged husband that even he did not "recall" until years after the fact.

I feel the same way about my wife which is why I would be at her bedside and not out impregnating another woman.

Again, you are WRONG. Feeding tubes have been successfully used for over two hundred years. The main drawback in earlier times was risk of infection; however, antibiotics will take care of that. So, unless you consider food, water and normal antibiotics an attempt by man to "stave off inevitable," this is really nothing more than normal medical care.

The Schindlers were not able to convince a court of the falsity of Schiavo's claim. But YOU know better.
Schiavo tried everything possible to bring her back it failed. He should not be condemned for eventually realizing nothing was going to work. His actions are not my or your business.
Tubes are for temporary use when there is a chance of recovery not keeping autonomous reflexes going.
A cornerstone of logic and our judicial system is that it is nearly impossible to prove a negative.
Medical authorities were consulted as well.
You present well reasoned and logical arguments based upon fact, unlike the antagonist in this thread who is uninterested in anything except for the fallacy that Michael Schiavo was some kind of saint. Schiavo's own personal behavior proves otherwise.
You won't convince Mr. JSUATI of anything which flies in the face of his fantasies, i.e., I believe the appropriate Scripture is 'don't cast your pearls before swine'.
