Agree, we have a deal as long as you southerners stay the hell away from the freakin' pizza ovens. When a Yankee comes to town and opens up a "NY style thin crust pizza joint" ignore the accent and consider yourself blessed.
The further away from NYC one gets the more abysmal and inedible the pizza becomes.....unless its made by a Yankee who grew up in the NY met area (includes) CT, NJ.

You guys do excellent grillin'....but I've eaten pizza in the southwest that would kill a housefly. A few times I swore I'd ordered "pizza without the flavor" by mistake.

You definintely have a point there. The best pizza places in Texas are generally owned by NY immigrants. Although Chicago's got some good pizza too.

Have you tried Campisi's down here? Used to be a mob front but the pizza is awesome.

I just laugh and grimace when I see signs for "Philly" cheese steak out here in my red state. I know it will be awful.
