When exactly did 'islamic' become a race?

We can quibble about definitions. Deliberate targeting of non combatants is a war crime. Even if it can be "justified" and rationalized until the cows come home, it is still and always be a war crime.

Now, you can throw out all the rules and conventions (as our enemy has) if you wish to assume moral equivalency with them. I hope that never happens.

We should because they're terribly important.

Deliberate targeting of non combatants is a war crime.

Then why wasn't Curtis LeMay tried as a war criminal after WWII? Why wasn't Sherman tried as a war criminal after the Civil War?

if you wish to assume moral equivalency with them.

It's precisely this kind of silly thinking that's going to lead to the deaths of thousands more American civilians. We are not and never will be 'morally equivilant' to these thugs.

War crime or genocide? Last time I checked there is stil a people called the Japanese who flourish even today. Genocide is conducted in an attempt to wipe out a people because of race or ethnicity. The US acted accrodingly in order to shorten a war and to ultimately save lives. Your argument that the US committed war crimes by bombing civilians during WWII is quite a stretch.
