The OI unites frequently fundamentalist believers of often opposed faiths in common fear and loathing of challenges to ancient tribal norms.
The OIs founding father was Pope John Paul II, who
sought to build his church in nations of the developing world where traditional morality and bigotry, most especially on matters sexual, were
more in sync with the Catholic Churchs inimitable backwardness. Now Americas schismatic Episcopalians are following in (John Pauls) footsteps traditionalists of the two great Western hierarchical Christian churches searching the globe for sufficiently benighted bishops.
Apparently Meyerson didn't get the memo about multiculturalism. Off to sensitivity training with you! /sarc

I wonder if the ecclesiastical civil war in the ECUSA could be a precursor, by several decades, of a future civil war in this nation.
At then end of the road to Sodom there's a big, burning pit.

Except for tiny segments of modern, western churchianity, there is no acceptance of homosexualized Christianity.
There are segments of a few western churches that support the homosexualites -- probably fewer than 10 or 20 million at the very most -- out of a world Christianity that numbers nearly 2 billion, and an historic Christianity that numbers in the multiple billions.
In short, we're dealing with a poorly received aberration.
Of course, too, there simply is no scriptural support for Christo-sodomy. There is condemnation of it.
That's the bottom line: 2000 years of Christianity rejects it, and scripture rejects it. There isn't really much more that needs to be said.
