First, it is OUTRAGEOUS and an absolute slap in our faces that Berger has gotten away with this. It is just another chip away at the foundation on this country and our culture. We can bemoan the fact that we have crime and corruption and the message is crime does pay, so in a way you can't blame people for going that route. We have become the peons and we are held to a higher standard than the elitist in goverment.

As far as the Bushes and Clintons, I believe all people at that level of goverment are in collusion. They have done alot of shady things to get where they are. Those suspense novels that describe all of the secrative backdoor dealings, and the power hungry sociopaths, are probably more fact than fiction.

This is why the Republicans lost the election. There is absolutely no doubt that the Tim Russerts of the world have come out of the closet to attest to their allegence to the Democratic party. Until the Republicans can answer the drive by media, the university professors, National Education Association, CAIR, Unions, and all of the foundations and the George Soros funded groups, they will lose.

The Clinton impeachment was their Viet Nam. They began a war with the Democrats that they did not have the courage to fight. Now anything less than rape, perjury, campaign finance fraud, selling National secrets, sexual harassment by a govt leader etc. is insignificant.

Yes what Burger did was far worse than Scooter Libby, but the double standard has been cast and most Republicans worry only about their personal hide.
