I found out today I'M GONNA BE A PAPPy! course I'll be nearly 55 before this child can enlist.

Apparently the plan was a guest host from the beginning but events prevented it.

The talk shows are not our sole source but they do serve to help call us together for a common purpose; e.g., war, for example. Events continue, so should discussions of those events -- everywhere IMO.

I could not imagine what it would have been like if radio personalities of the W.W.II generation had put on "best of" shows and walked away for the weeks of the Christmas and New Year holidays. No substitute hosts, nothing.

How confusing it would have been for me, a very small child, hearing of the attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 Dec. 1941 and then hearing discussions of more "attacks" throughout the last part of December and early January. :)
