War And The ACLU
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 12-19-06 | Editorial

Enemies: The ACLU is crowing about the feds backing down on subpoenaing a classified document the group possesses. With these extremist lawyers at constant war against America, the government must not retreat. Clinton-appointed Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the Southern District of New York made it clear in a hearing last week that he would side with the ACLU regarding its possession of a classified directive on how prisoners of war can be photographed. The 101st Airborne document, marked "secret," had been e-mailed to the group. Government lawyers tried to get the ACLU to turn over "any and all copies" but then dropped a grand jury subpoena after Rakoff derided their demand, citing the Pentagon Papers case of the Vietnam era.

If it were stolen property, would a judge take the same view?

They stole it fair and square?

Judge Rakoff is notoriously liberal, having declared the death penalty unconstitutional in 2002 (a ruling quickly overturned), and earlier this year forcing the Pentagon to make public thousands of pages of information on suspected terrorist detainees at Guantanamo Bay. So it's understandable for prosecutors to not want to fight an unwinnable battle.

I hope i live to see the day when these activist judges and so called civil liberties groups are exposed by the American public and tried and convicted of treason.

Our Justice Dept. has to start confronting these judges on all these issues or nothing will change.

The ELECTORATE needs to start making demands of this Government.

1. Demand authoritarian status of the non-elected ACLU be removed.
2. Demand U. N. officials be held accountable for crimes, or disband the U. N.
3. Demand impeachment of judges who legislate from the bench or who use foreign law instead of the Constitution
3. Demand the deportation of illegals when found
4. Demand proof of citizenship to vote in any election (State or Federal) which could affect any of the United States. 5. Demand the removal of elected officials who have been convicted of a crime.

Imagine the harm a first clinton presidency did to the country- cost America well over 3000 lives- that was just one incident- there are countless others and countless mandates that have directly hurt people here- not to mention those that were close to clinton dropping like flies all around him in 'mysterious circumstances' like committing suicide by hacking off their own head, shooting themselves in the back, being gunned down by drive-by 'random' shootings when leaving a resteraunt etc. http://sacredscoop.com

Agreed, but the electorate will have to wake up as shown by this election.

Yep. But elections are not the only right the electorate has in telling the government what they will or will not do.

We may find that out within our lifetime.

It was back then that two little words should have been given to the clinton gang: CEASE and DESIST.

Excellent point, but the discovery of this leaker would only bolster the president and his administration. They can't have that.

If they have a classified document - do they have clearance? I.E. need to know? If not remove it from them forcably, and if they desire to retain it nail them for treason, and perform a simple gravity check from about ten feet.
