Don't miss the Zucker video. Let's hope we don't lose another 50 million by trusting a madman, again.
David Zucker on James Baker
Thomas Lifson
David Zucker, the comedy genius, has his own pointed and hilarious video commentary on James Baker and the ISG. It is a perfect video compliment to Ed Lasky's article today. It is highly recommended.

The Saudis don't want us to leave Iraq and I'm sure they don't want us negotiating with Iran, so I don't see a connection there.
It's the Israel part of the ISG, that the Saudis got what they wanted.

Impressive article. A lot of detail on how Baker stacked the deck to get what he wanted.
Fortunately, it backfired. You have to wonder how smart Baker really is. If I didn't know better, I would say that the whole exercise was a piece of Bush's strategery, because the upshot of the report, and the press's early enthusiasm for it, is to suggest to the country that the experts haven't the faintest idea how to improve on what Bush is already doing in Iraq. As a result, the Iraqi war has gained a further lease on life.

The deck stacking said to be the reason Guiliani backed out.

Irrelevant??? I dunno: The Democrats still quote it and Kerry and Nelson are over there trying to make a deal A la Chamberlain.
Of course they are traitors that no one has the courage to prosecute.

On 9/12 we should have told the Saudis "from now on everything changes, we are going to go after AQ including on your soil, the alternative is, we invade and take over your country." Then, we ought to have gone after all the Saudi bootlickers here stateside. There is no excuse for shying away from this.

We should have started rounding up Arabist bootlicker traitors on 9/12/01. I have no tolerance for them.

So, when will support for the Iraq war as currently being fought hit 20%?
Reject the ISG and hug war by democrats.
It surprises me just how stupid people can be.

I saw links to this moments ago on another blog and checked to see if this had been posted here on FR.
I should have known you would have caught this.
I knew instinctively that the ISG Report was "inspired" by the Saudis, but this provides the smoking gun.
President Bush even knows how to handle his own father by providing his Dad's cronies with enough rope with which to hang themselves.
This analysis is superlative.

Too bad that our politicians don't pick neutral people to staff these groups. But, then, it isn't really about trying to find a solution. It's about grandstanding and giving George W Bush a black eye. Who cares how biased the people are, just as with the 9/11 commission.
