What you classify as a religion is a moot point. The fact is the federal government does classify Islam as a religion and that is the framework we must work within. Attacking any American because of his religion can only do harm to those of us who proclaim to be religious.

Muslims come in as many flavors as any other religion. Yes, there are even pacifist Muslims, read up on the red shirts of Pakistan's movement for independence. This is important because pitting Muslim against Muslim is our greatest weapon against them and an understanding of who is who in the Muslim world would benefit this effort.
