I am just saying... that there are libs who are not for abortion and our christians. I would give you their names but it would not help, they are just people and not in leadership. I stated that I used to think there was no way you could be a christian and be a lib, but after meeting and knowing some of these people, it is clear that they do not believe in all of the libs causes, just as their are consvs who do not go 100% GOP agenda.

I would have to say they are sort of not for abortion.
One's stand on abortion is a qualifier/dis-qualifier for public office.
If one believes that it is OK to pulverize a child, suck the child out of the mother, and discard this child like an old pair of tennis shoes then they simply are not capable of making good decisions. If they don't understand the very foundation of life, and hold that life in high regard, then they can not be trusted to make decisions for the public good.
Those who can vote for such people, knowing that this is their belief, are only "sort-of" Christians IMHO. They are willing to compromise on an issue that we simply can not compromise on and biblically justify it.
I know some fine people(as far as the world goes) who are pro infanticide; but I don't trust them with my children. When push comes to shove, they have already made the decision that some life if more valuable than others, all they have to do is just slide the scale around to let my children die - or even to actively kill them.
There are some irresponsible Christians who don't take the time to investigate their candidate - like my Aunt once was. Believe it or not, they don't know that their Democratic Candidate is in favor of infanticide. Once I showed her Al Gore's position - she voted Republican for the first time in her life. She hated Bush (she was from Texas), but Al Gore was simply not qualified for a responsible position in government.

If one wants to vote for a pro-life democrat, they simply have to vote Republican. And I am sure that this will become even more apparent in the next election since the Republicans don't understand that they lost because they were acting like Democrats.

Cordially,
GE

Well, now you have gone and said it. I believe that you cannot in good conscience be a liberal and also at the same time be a practicing Christian. The two are complete opposites. I know no liberals who are against abortion. It is part of the liberal doctrine to be for choice and kill babies and embryonic stem cells and for that matter, kill anyone else who gets in your way of being who you are.
