Much as been made of the demonstrated ignorance of Silvestre Reyes, the newly named chair of the House Intelligence Committee. But Reyes is far from alone in failing to have learned the most basic facts of the forces arrayed against us.
Reyes' position requires that he provide oversight of our intelligence operations, and those in charge of those operations have demonstrated they know little more than Reyes does:

When we're hit again, Congressman Reyes will continue to not know who or what...
The Peter Principle?
I suggest running for the hills.
Just a question - but I thought it was OK to appear naked as long as you carry a big stick!!!
I have retired, so I no longer have to go down to New York City every week. I did it because I had to, and also because I wasn't going to allow terrorists to govern my behavior. But I confess that riding on the subway made me nervous. I have very little confidence in the ability of a massive, politically correct, unionized bureaucracy to protect us against terrorists.
There are plenty of good people in law enforcement, but it strikes me as being like our military in Iraq; it's hard to fight a war with your hands tied behind your back by your political superiors.
Tick, tick, tick bump.
scamp!
I've done what I could over the past few election cycles but I've only got my one vote. 8-)
It really is sad. As I read the entire article, including the link concerning Congressman Reyes' "ignorence", I was in total disbelief.

Saudi Arabia - Sunni
bin Laden - Sunni
Al Qaeda - Sunni
9/11 hijackers - Sunni
Saddam Hussein & his regime - Sunni
Anbar province - (predominately) Sunni
Nope, can't see any dots to connect. There simply is no possibility of any connection.
Let's move on.
Ignorence= Ignorance
True - I just could not resist - Imagine if you will - what if Pres. Teddy would have said "show up naked and carry a big stick" - we wouold not be able use the words "big stick" in public would we?
It seems others have noticed that the watchers are blind, deaf and dumb.
