It won't be long before the meds-bashers come along. I'd bet those people don't even have any kids, and if they do, have not faced one with real ADHD. My daughter probably wouldn't have survived without ADHD meds.

I am NOT a doctor. From observation, here is what I believe is true:
Most medical doctors are trained in school to rely heavily on drugs.
While there are justified cases of ADHD, and clinical depression, the doctors go way overboard.
IOW they use drugs as the treatment of first choice for anything coming close to true ADHD or depression.
As such many people get drugs, when they should not be drugged.
Finally, I have met people who were once on drugs for depression, but learned to deal with life without drugs.
The risk in all this is taking those who truly need the drugs, off the drugs.
