Bryan Hawk, San Francisco
No, she is doing her job. I am proud of her and look forward to her start as speaker in January.
Sandra Varner, Oakland
It's too soon to tell. Were you to compare her present decisions to her career stance on a myriad of issues, perhaps a tendency could be assessed. However, she's still swirling in the newness of her leadership role and --in my opinion -- still caught up in the fumes of victory.
Michael Bauce, Berkeley
Of course she is. That's what she's been told she has to do. What she doesn't realize is that once she alienates her supporters on the left, she's through. When Democrats act like Republicans, they get thrown on the trash heap with the rest.
Alan Jewett, Oakland
I think the election results suggest one cannot lean too much toward the center now. We need leaders who can pull us together, not draw us apart.
Cathy Edgett, Mill Valley
Nancy Pelosi knows the art of compromise. I trust her to represent an array of people and balance the wants and needs of her varied constituents. She is finding her feet. When she does, she'll use her wings. Give her time.
Marianne Lonsdale, Oakland
Who knows? Give it a rest. She hasn't been speaker long enough for anyone to know. We just can't stand not putting people into categories. . . .

I hope not. I want her to lean as far to the Left as possible, revealing her true colors, alienating the mainstream, and being thrown out on her backside in 2008.

This is a propaganda story to give the PERCEPTION that pelosi is somthing other than a hard core communist.
Pelosi will always be a far left commi. These stories are just part fo the MSM effort to portray the left as something other than the left.
Other news outlets will pick this up.

Mikey is right about one thing though: if the Democrats don't jump to the moonbats beat, there'll be hell to pay in 2008.

'wtf does that mean'
It means that this guy's politics is left because "We" and "us" = liberal. He's certainly not speaking about "bipartisanship".
