In a strange way, isn't this country paying higher prices for energy directly related to the WOT?

The entire Middle East mess has always had its impact in this area. How well I remember the gas lines and the odd and even license plate rules for fueling cars etc... Recently, I had a spirited discussion with a guy who was waxing eloquent on the terrible loss of freedoms brought about by "Bush's" WOT security programs. It seems he was upset about his wife not being able to take her knitting needles through airport security to while away the time waiting on flights.

I told the dolt to blame the terrorists, not the POTUS. I'm sure that most of the morons who oppose the current national security measures hold G.W Bush etc. responsible for the unbearable "sacrifices" that they are being asked to make.

I remember those gas lines well. Both our vehicles had odd plates and George would get up early on Saturday, go sit in line to fill one car, come home, get the second car and go wait in line to fill it.

I've also experienced the inconvenience of flying since 911, and at no time did I think to blame the President. I never cease to be amazed at how stupid people are about the Patriot Act, the security at airports, etc., and comments like Matt Damon made yesterday to Chris Matthews about the President's daughters needing to go to Iraq. Does that dolt even know what they have been doing since they graduated college?
