#254, I think you are right, they are sweating big time about the sick old geezers, and remember that Reid had a stroke last year. What I would love to point out as I did to Bill Nelson's aide in Washington that Nelson is not right in his head, and has not been for quite a while. I told the aide that by not getting help for Nelson's obvious dementia, they are putting his life on the line and may get us killed by saying something he thinks is right but starts a really bad international Incident. He is so clueless as typical of people with dementia that he has delusions that he is a big Star in the Party, and he may be bucking for a VP slot. His Family has to know, and it may be adding problems because it tears Family members apart. His aides must know unless they are new and do not know he sounds far away sometimes, like he did in the Debate with K Harris. They know if they put him out to pasture that Charlie Crist will put a Pubbie in there to replace him in a heartbeat. Anyone that has followed Nelson for more than 4-5 years has seen him slipping badly, most noticeable is his speech, slipping back to his NW Florida Cracker accent, and grasping for words that should flow naturally without all the hesitation. He is not that old, but Dementia knows no bounds. I knew there was a problem when he was playing kissy face with such an anti-American as Michael Moore, and going illegally, and unauthorized in a NASA Spacecraft( with Jon cary) to campaign. Normally he would know not to do any of those stupid things. Almost every report I have seen this week about his visit to Syria was (even the DBM) "What is he smoking?" "What is wrong with him"? "What was he thinking?"

Very strong stuff.

I am enlightened. Good post and I'm sure your thoughts and concerns are shared by many close to Nelson. I really thought he was "always" a bit spacy.
