A lawsuit can ruin a person financially even if he is found innocent of the charges.

Not a law expert, but if a person is found innocent shouldn't the accuser be required to pays his/her legal bills ? Or Can't the accused counter sue for defamation/legal expenses..etc ?

As for the main article, I fear for the Reverend's life.
