I myself was recently fired for speaking up. Albeit in a moment of anger. I emailed a California government official that emailed me that EDD was looking for bilingual workers, that "isn't this America and wasn't our official language English?". I feel bad for you, but truthfully that was a pretty stupid thing for you to do.
Bilingual workers are needed all over this world, and especially in a country as international and welcoming to immigrants as the USA.
Believe me I know it was stupid. It was just a moments' anger...However, I disagree with you. I was referring to the fact that the United States government should not be in the business of translating for people who have come here. Private companies can do what they want, but the government's job is not to translate to every parasite that comes over here. I was a job developer for the blind. They have enough strikes against them without having to learn a language that the illegals won't learn themselves.
We may have once be "welcoming to immigrants" but I guarantee you that is not the case with criminals who break into our country without an invitation. We are not "international" we are America.
