I've got news for you, it's a bigger thing when a white man speaks up. When a white man stands up for his race ESPECIALLY OVER THE LAST 30 years, blacks come after you, white liberals come after you, and the media comes after you. Your own Republican party comes after you. In my own world, I have never apologized for being white and when I speak for my race I'm called a racist, a redneck and a bigot but it hasn't stopped me. I remember 30 years ago reading an article in TV Guide by Bill Cosby. Cosby said he was not anti white he was however, pro black. I feel the same way about my race. I'm not anti black, I'm not anti Jewish I'm pro white and pro Christian. That's my heritage and I'm proud of it. I applaud Jesse Lee Peterson for his stand on the topic but I don't seek the permission of any black man or anyone else for my stand on my heritage and race. Like a lot of other folks who put their finger in the wind before speaking and I see it in this Free Republic blog.

I don't give a crap about who's black or who's white. I have no allegiance to others just because we are of the same race, nor am I proud of any particular action or bit of history just because it was done by a white person.

My comment was toward a man speaking about the reality of the black situation in America, which is rarely done. It was not directed toward any other person, or any other race.

Like a lot of other folks who put their finger in the wind before speaking and I see it in this Free Republic blog.
