Thank you; I had forgotten that. In the very first election in which I voted, I'm proud to say that I voted for President Ford over that sanctimonious twit of a peanut farmer. I have always thought that Ford, a pragmatist, was treated shabbily by the media and press, following the same tired template that they do for all Republican presidents.

Remember Chevy Chase mocking him every week on Saturday Night Live? Playing the klutz, always falling down, crashing on the floor? I heard poor Chevy has chronic back and neck pain from all the hilarious stunts portraying President Ford. Such a shame. I hope Chevy winces with "pleasure" watching the reruns. ;) HA HA!
