The United Nations General Assembly authorized a two-year-old recommendation by the International Court of Justice to establish a special body to register Palestinian complaints about Israel's security fence on Friday night.
The proposal to establish a registry of damages was passed by a large majority vote by member states. An estimated 160 states voted for the proposal, seven voted against and seven abstained.
The General Assembly did not decide on a date for the establishment of the registry.
Meanwhile, Ambassador to the UN Dan Gillerman declared the establishment of a registry of complaints to be "a waste of the UN's and its member nations' time and money."
The UN began consideration of the International Court of Justice report during Kofi Annan's recently ended term as secretary-general. Annan said during a visit to Ramallah in March 2005 that the UN was, in fact, establishing a register of property damage caused by the security fence.
Annan said at the time that the UN position on the fence was and reflected an anti-barrier resolution previously passed by the General Assembly.
Goodbye kofi, you terrible waste of skin.
"In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate! Help me Kofi! I am being denied my essential human right to kill the kuffar and mushrik, especially the Jew, in every way that is cowardly and underhanded."
"I am being prevented from achieving my destiny as a Palestinian and an Arab, and sending my sons and daughters to blow themselves up."
"What's worse, the damned Jews wouldn't let the Saudi terror money in, and now my payment for the last two sons I sold to Hamas is overdue."
"In the name of Allah and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion! Only the UN has a chance of assisting me in my Allah-given duty of killing Jews. Help me, Kofi."
"We can slip some of the cash to Kojo, if that helps."
annan needs to just SHUT UP&disappear, take his
"oil for food" blood money & retire to some island.
the world is better off without him
Fences have such a bad reputation lately, whether to protect Israel or the US. Kofi and the Democrats are in perfect agreement.
