Hooray! More illegals!
Not in the English definition of the term. Do you speak Spanish, or something?
I wonder if the West Germans said that to East Germans who escaped communism. I find it interesting that you have no pity for the survivors of a brutal communist regime.
Go educate yourself. Cubans who reach American soil are not illegals. There is no such thing as an illegal Cuban immigrant.
They are probably LEGAL immigrants because under United States law, Cubans have the right to live here if they touch U.S. soil. You can disagree with the law (I don't), but that is the law. The LEGAL Cubans are probably the best thing that has happened to Florida since Florida became a State.
Actually, we have santuary laws covering people who arrive here after fleeing the brutality of totalitarian regimes. As long as they make proper application, they are not deemed criminals and can stay pending determination of their immigration status.
They (the Cubans escaping from Castro's communist Prison)reach the U.S., and they are LEGAL, after filling out the paperwork. They will probably have friends or family and if not be a working part of the community in very short order. That they may be negative additions is of course possible, but not likely.
