Personally, I don't find anything wrong with "European values" as long as they stay in Europe. I think diversity among different countries/continents is a good thing, but want America to stay the way it has been (conservative). Won't be any fun if we are all the same!
Have a friend from Eastern Europe who always says America should emulate Europe and the security blanket most European countries provide its citizens (healthcare, job guarantees, etc). I know I am generalizing. My point to her was that America chooses overall greater riches and higher risk over safety and security combined with less riches.
Neither is right, neither is wrong; let's keep our cultures and societies the way they are, otherwise we lose our very identities.
"But the issue is something to be shared inside the family and not in the public."
Agreed, which is why we don't want ads of half-naked 14 year olds groping each-other hanging outside our mall at Abercrombie & Fitch. I also don't want my daughter to see teens feeling each other up at the local Dairy Queen. I definitely don't want her being taught sex-ed the way it was taught at my school ("you will know when the time is right", "pretend the banana is your penis").
Again, not saying your point-of-view is wrong, but let America be America.
Neither is right, neither is wrong; let's keep our cultures and societies the way they are, otherwise we lose our very identities.

Yep! And let people keep continuing to vote with their feet!
