2002 edition of a prisoner support zine, Spirit of Freedom, defined the Green Scare as, "the tactics that the US government and all their tentacles (FBI, IRS, BATF, Joint Terrorism Task Forces, local police, the court system) are using to attack the ELF/ALF (Earth Liberation Front and Animal Liberation Front) and specifically those who publicly support them."

Sentencings set for ELF arsonists (4:30 p.m.)
EUGENE — Separate April sentencing hearings were set today for a Greensprings man and nine of his co-defendants convicted of federal arson charges in a series of Earth Liberation Front firebombings across the West.
Jonathan Paul, 40, will be the 10th and last of the ELF “cell” members sentenced on arson and conspiracy charges stemming from the string of attacks between 1996 and 2001.
Paul’s sentencing hearing will be before U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken in Eugene.
Paul pleaded guilty to one count of arson and conspiracy to commit arson in November for the 1997 firebombing of a Redmond meat-packing plant that was one of the early ELF arson attacks.
Paul’s plea agreement includes a recommended sentence of five years in federal prison. Paul remains free on bail.

Glad the government went on a big ole' round up of these terrorists. Can't wait until they are all brought to justice. I have heard them talk before about burning things up at parties (way back in the day) and such and man all I can say, is these sort of criminals run rampant in the NW, especially Olympia and Oregon. But we all know that don't we? Should be interesting to see how these people intersect with all California's that are moving into their world in droves.
Yep, the media is not giving much play to them since they were nailed.
The pitiful thing IMO, is letting them plea down to lesser charges and letting them off with lighter sentences. Every one of them should serve a minimum of twenty years but they won't.
I was planning to send some magazines, books, and needed things to some young men and women who lost limbs and suffer debilitating wounds to Walter Reed Medical Center, and still plan to, only now I want to expand my charitable efforts.
I'll send the Arsonist girl some hunting magazines, "Trophy Whitetail," would be a good one. I have tons of these magazines laying around my office.
Turning around from my desk, checking my bookshelf,I see other titles she'll enjoy. I might even send her a subscription to Safari Club International's publications, and to Boone & Crockett, Quality Deer Management ones also.
I have lots of eduational material I could send her about hunters' efforts to restore wildlife populations, and how hunters have spent billions of $$$ restoring habit for both game and non-game, and the endangered species that benefit from the contributions of consumptive users of wildlife.
Freepers, let's get a list together of books to send this genious, she'll have lots of time to read and may learn something about all the PETA, HSUS propaganda she has ingested over her lifetime.
