Thanks to everyone for your greetings - but don't get too used to my being here. I'm just a temporary visitor. :)

I just spoke with my brother, and Mama is out of surgery now. The surgery went as well as could be expected. There is some cancer they couldn't get, but they're hoping radiation will take care of that. Mama will be in ICU for the next 24 hours - standard operating procedure, as it were - and my brother and dad should be able to visit her within the next couple of hours.
