Those Imams should have been dealt with according to the same protocol as a nimrod who jokes about a gun or a bomb, then multiply the penalty by six. Everything I read or heard about the incident indicates they were deliberately provocative. No, I don't know whether they were probing security or just fishing for an ACLU sponsored lawsuit, but their behavior was far more serious than the bomb or gun jokster who certainly would not be walking away after a few questions, getting an alternate flight and then getting to whine about discrimination to a pliant media.

I believe their mission was two fold.


The fact that they themselves are now going to be sued is a good sign and I'm sure, a most unexpected development.  The entire incident has backfired on them and they are under far more scrutiny then US Airways.

If you haven't seen it yet, I have a humorous sendup of this entire incident here.

I think you will get quite a kick out of it.
