Not only was the winning bid for dinner with the governor $1, the winner doesn't even want to show up to the dinner!
Ping
99 cents too much.
Either you are revising history or you think people here at FR are stupid. The tears were so fake, barbie dolls were cringing.
He told a completely made up story (AKA LIED) about something that did NOT happen and YOU expect us to have sympathy for him now. GET REAL!
Yes other parishes had it bad, as well as the whole lower half of the state of Mississippi. Don't expect sympathy for that cretin now by involving the dead. Lots of people had it bad and crying boy was no help. You do know he is a national joke now, don't you?
"He told a completely made up story (AKA LIED) about something that did NOT happen"
He said that the mother of the manager at the facility had died on Friday. That the manager had called her on the phone, saying someone would come to get her. That was made up. She actually died on Monday, the day the St. Rita nursing home went under about nine feet of water. She did die. I replied to the poster who responded to the sentence of mine that a lot of people cried that week. A lot of us cried for St. Bernard Parish. None of this has anything to do with what happened in New Orleans.
Well, this article has been posted twice in the LA sidebar so it should be getting some visibilty, but cajungirl might know who has the LA list.
How about the people of Jefferson Parish?
your debate seemed poignant, so I went looking....here is what I found:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Broussard
http://www.recallbroussard.com/ (videos here)
personally, I can't get past the fact that he forced pump operators to evacuate WHO WANTED TO STAY to operate the pumps!! Like I said.....How about the people of Jefferson Parish?
I would have bid $500 if I could have brought along a camera crew! No Borat stunts, just a few simple questions...
So because you think his tears were phony, none of what actually happened in Jefferson or St. Bernard matters, none of the deaths and underwater homes ignored by both the government and the press - that is not important to you. He may have put on some show on Meet The Press. I went by the words as reported in the papers. I and hundreds of other people were trying to get into St. Bernard to get people out. I lost a house in that Parish as did my niece and a nephew. All under ten feet of water.
And I don't like people accusing me of making things up. I probably have posted about 1000 comments, some with pictures. I tried to contribute now, because I recently retired. This is about the only fun I have left in life, here on FR.
Since I'm a 'newbie', maybe I should crawl away in shame and be quite?
Exactly, the man is an a$$
That would not be a level playing field. Blanco is no Tony Snow.
You are projecting. No one here claimed nobody died, just that Broussard is a joke, a lair, and in a fair world would be in jail serving time.
No I didn't. Apparently the state doesn't mind corruption, but is less tolerant of deer in the headlights behavior.
I saw his appearance last year and it was quite phony. And his blaming the Bush administration for Katrina was just an attempt to deflect blame.
Since I'm a 'newbie', maybe I should crawl away in shame and be quite?
Why not? And this phony retard with you.
I have read about the errors he made, and I agree with you. I was responding to statements about him crying. I didn't see any TV during that time. I read the WikiPedia entry the other day. Having talked with the guy in person, I know he's a story-spinner. I only learned about the pumping station mess when I read the Wiki entry.
I was mostly concerned with the response to my statement that a lot of people cried that week.
I was preparing to post back and say I would give up posting on FreeRepublic. Then you posted and said I should go. So, since you want me to stop posting, I won't.
Sorry, post #38 is for you. You have me so shook up, I'm posting to my self...
You responded to yourself. You're worse than Broussard (if that's possible).
