"The duty to respect the dignity of each human being, in whose nature the image of the Creator is reflected, means in consequence that the person cannot be disposed of at will," the pope writes. Amen

It doesn't include praying toward Mecca either. I have been very impressed with this Pope, but that action seems to have stopped me cold. It was a huge mistake.

Who said he was praying toward Mecca? REUTERS, that's who. And we know how reliable THEY are...
From the thread regarding the 'prayer toward Mecca' issue, many posters pointed out that from where the Pope was standing, Mecca and Jerusalem are in almost the exact same direction.

Boy, hope the Kervorkian thread people don't see THIS thread!!! :)

He didn't pray to ALLAH!! He could pray in whatever direction that is, east, west, north or south....he's still praying to the one, true God.

I wonder if the pro-euthanasia crowd realizes how totally out of touch they are with mainstream America. Even the leftists in Congress are afraid to go on the record supporting this.

>> "Abortion and embryonic experimentation constitute a direct denial of that attitude of acceptance of others which is indispensable for establishing lasting relationships of peace," the pope concluded.
What a great insight!

And how anyone could deny the consequences of the activity is beyond comprehension.
