McCain's son is in the Marine Corps, as is future President Hunter's son. But your implication is correct; it is pathetic how few of the sons of our leaders in both parties are man-enough to serve their country in uniform.

The typical age of Senators and Congress-critters alike is such that almost all of their children are well beyond military service age unless they are "lifers".
This can be fixed with a Constitutional amendment that reduces the minimum age for both offices.
