Probably because the President has given up on the Republican party. We are entering a new era of the "New Tone" now since the Rats are about to run the show.
Not necessarily...from what I hear the GOP has run away from Pres. Bush...so I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Bonilla told him not to come down..
So..if he loses...tough cookies...all of the GOP politicians that have run away from Pres. Bush over the war aren't worth voting for anyway.
