Has the ACLU gotten sane? I don't think so...

He probably looked a little too much like a crusader for the anti Christian lawyers union.

Both the lawsuit and the school policy are stupid.
To: Pharmboy
In order to establish that they have this zero tolerance policy, they do this, but more than likely, there are kids who bring real weapons to their school.

Instead of hiding behind a "zero tolerance"for weapons policy the administrators should have had the marbles to say his picture was too ridiculous.

I bet he gets all the babes.

OK, so the kid is a little dorky. Using the "weapon" argument under yet another zero-tolerance policy is quite a bit dorkier. I'm not in SCA, but I can see how it could be quite a lot of fun for those who are.
BTW, that ~is~ a pretty cool sword. :-)

My sword is a samurai sword made the old fashioned way.
It is razor sharp and is used with extreme care.
I just don't understand the practicality of the heavy medieval sword. The samurai sword is much faster to use and is most likely the superior weapon.

Kill the lawyers!!!!!!!!!!
To: Pharmboy
I guess the school's zero tolerance policy against weapons extends to pictures of weapons.

Gee, I remember when the school would have sent someone home to change into appropriate attire before allowing a picture like that to even be taken for the yearbook!!
I miss the days when schools actually included things like judgement and character by the staff.

Is this a great country or what?
"offered to allow the photo in the yearbook if Agin paid to put it in the advertising section."
That's not zero tolerance, that's accepting bribes!

VERY cool portrait. This kid is an individual.
My son posed for his senior photo in a fedora
and spats. He's a swing kid. (I heard that)
Swing as in dancing.
