Bad news but likely. Also, the explanation cannot be easily refuted. Their problem will not be getting elected but governing.

Unfortunately, this is what I've been thinking for quite some time. Perhaps I have it all wrong, but it appeared to me that Hillary was the foreordained candidate and likely winner from the time that George Bush, the Elder, "adopted" Bill Clinton and the Bush family began to fall all over themselves in sucking up to the Clintons and paving the way for the Clintons to return to power no matter what nasty things the Clintons said about them. There is no Republican on the horizon who will be able to raise enough $ to draw the fractured party back together and give her any opposition IMO. I think 2006 was only a sample of what will come in '08, so I think governing will be a snap with even more House and Senate seats going to the Democrats. I wish I would be surprised, but seriously doubt it.
