The Holocaust Museum was one of the most moving experiences I've had. It should be on everyone's "must see" list for a visit to D.C.

BTW, I found it very well done - the status of its curatorship was well above most of the Smithsonian museums I visited.

I had the same experience when I visited Dachau in 1985. There is one photograph that I still cannot get out of my mind; a small boy with a look of undescribable terror on his face, surrounded by Nazi soldiers. And, many of the pictures which showed Hitler had his eyes gouged out.
