Seems like Ferrari used to only sell to people after they proved they could drive..on a track. Now, they sell to anyone with cash...and the Enzo was sold by invitation only to their favorite collectors.

That is a club rapidly becoming more exclusive.

Hi All-

I gotta' believe it's all about the benjamins in a situation like this. If a very successful businessman visits a dealership with a truly enormous stack of money, I'm fairly convinced he will be able to purchase the Ferrari of his choice. The seller can try and stick to principle, but money talks. It's not like it's a maniacal terrorist trying to purchase anthrax, sarin, or yellowcake uranium...it's just a decent guy in a midlife crisis seeking the ultimate car to attract young women.
