I don't know about any other Christians, but Christmas to me is a celebration of the birth of Christ and it never as been about the decorated trees.

The "jerkyness" is from other religions that want "equal time" even though they don't even celebrate Christmas.

Last time I checked, Christianity wasn't the "official relgion" like we have an official flag, official national anthem, and official critter. (the Bald Eagle)
