New conference coming up in a few minutes.
I don't think they want us to look too close at important world events. Better to keep the sheeple sedated.
Thanks...here is the link:

Who pays for the rescue?
Anyone who deliberately puts him/herself in danger without a compelling reason should post a bond to pay for rescue.
The public should not pay for foolhardy behavior.
I don't necessarily disagree just think the time for that discussion will come in the future after we know the fate of these climbers.
Weather is poor. One team is up there now, bringing another one up to base camp this morning. They're doing low elevation searches. Safety a factor for mountaineer searchers. Want rescuers well-rested so when weather breaks they can go for it, up toward summit. Unmanned drones not able to get up yesterday, but were up all night. Cell phone technicians working to locate cell phone pings more precisely. Prepared to search through Saturday. Base camp is at 6000 feet. Yesterday could get to 6500 feet, Monday made it to 8500 feet, summit is 10-11,000. Might be a break in weather on Friday.
It's possible the man on the summit may have tried to use his cell phone on Tuesday night, not confirmed but family is talking about it. Family says: Their spirits are still high, these men are smart and strong. K. James proposed to his wife on Mt. Ranier. They all love God, he is watching over them. Thanks to everyone for prayers.
Why is it that decent people have to rescue idiots who have nothing better to do than climb a mountain in winter? And why is it that the military is now participating in the rescue of the idiots while the military effort could be expended in the war on terror? Sorry, but if it were up to me, these 3 idiots would be found as popsickles next April and their tombstones would say 'stuck on stupid, I tried by myself but failed'........
Do you feel the same about people who cause car accidents?
Smoke?
Drink?
Should all the people that make a mistake just be left to die?
These were three experienced, well equipped climbers who wanted a challenge. One of them got injured and could not get himself off the summit area...it happens.
Why do people ski? Why do people build and fly experimental aircraft?
You could go on all day about it. Fact is we live in a free country and people are allowed to challenge themselves any way they see fit. SAR is a small price for us all to pay to allow people to enjoy the great outdoors here.
BTW - they are still human beings and they deserve to be rescued with every resource we have.
Also I suggest you read up on the benefits the military receives by participating in these mountain rescues - this situation becomes a training mission for them as well which benefits our troops.
Thanks for your posts...hopefully today they will make some excellent process and hopefully these people will be found.
Sounds like they are going all out today, getting helicopters up to the summit. Hope they find them all today, alive and well!
Bookmark for later and prayers for the rescue of these men!
update...
Still, Hood yielded another clue: Black Hawk helicopters spotted an apparent piece of climbing equipment in the fading light about 300 feet from the top. It was enough to renew hopes that the men -- Kelly James, Brian Hall and Jerry "Nikko" Cooke -- might yet be found alive.

Thanks, that's a great article! It's scary that one of the rescuers started to get frostbite. I was thinking, if the two climbers who "went down for help" saw that the weather had cleared, and they were healthy, wouldn't they come out of their snow cave and start climbing down the mountain?
from what I understand they would know to stay put. If they have their bivi's (sleeping bags) they would stay in them, melt snow to make water. They might venture out to place something to indicate where they are and then retreat to the protection of the snow cave. Snow caves offer excellent protection in this situation...in addition James Kelly was in no condition to climb down he is injured.
It looks like they have spotted anamolies in the snow and/or equipment marking their spot. That is really great news. We should all know within a few hours the fate of these men.
Hopefully these families will have a truly joyous Christmas.
