I know what you mean. It really is very petty of him to have done this and his actions have not gone unnoticed. Hopefully he has not done any long term damage to the communities feelings.
I wrote him an email earlier today to express my disappointment. I still cannot believe he thought this was a smart thing to do!
It was a jerk of a thing for him to do and I remain stunned. Poor Rabbi Lapin is stunned too.
