In my town, we have a ten foot wide, 6 foot tall Menorah in the center of town at the town park. It stands at one end of the park opposite the town Christmas tree. The lighting ceromony is attended by a great many people of both religions. Never has been a problem for anyone.

Well, an army of ACLU atties hasn't hit your community like it did mine. Not yet. They can't sue everybody at once. They like to pick off the weaker ones first--and get a little money and moxie to take on the heavier hitters. And it's always interesting to read the names on the list of attack-lawyers. Of course, you mustn't take anything personally, or feel that its an expression of religious resentment, these lawsuits.

The tree is not a Christian symbol. Many conservative religious preach against it--for myself, it's a decoration and tradition. But I guess it's close enough to a Christian symbol that the airport decided to run scared. Sensible.

But if you're not scared of a lawyer high on fees and spite, you're not smart.
