This is actually no surprise. For 6 years the Dems have considered Bush the enemy to such a degree that they are unable to identify the basic elements of real enemy.
I'm so glad they are in charge.

If they have not figured it out after this long, what makes anyone think that they ever will? They only have a one track mind that that is get rid of Bush.

3 1/2 years and hundreds of suicide bombings in Iraq and the future US Senate Intelligence Chairman doesn't know who the perps are.
Fan-tastic.

"Democrats New Intelligence Chairman Needs a Crash Course on al Qaeda"
The 'crash' was the attack on the Marine barracks in Lebanon and the 'course' has been everything going on since then.

Ah, Government...we need more of it at every level of society....It doesn't matter if its a planning and building dork at the county level or the head of the congressional intelligence office...they are all so busy trying to look like they know what they're doing and sounding official...whqat a farce...it'd be better if they really did know something, but those people are few and far between and don't make it up the political ladder...I'd starve before I would work for the socialist behemoth...who needs AlQaeda when we've got good ole, aw shucks, USA politicians..

Come on, now. Give the five-term Texas Democrat, 62, Silvestre Reyes, a break.
Is Al Qaeda made up of Sunnis or Shiites? How do you expect Mr. Reyes to know the difference? Both are foreign words, starting with the same letter.
Mr. Reyes, along with his entire Democratic Party, is so consumed with getting back into the White House, that they dont EVEN see the threat to our American way of life. Reyes cant be bothered to even try to understand the threat.

But...but...the Dems are all so smart. They know everything.
How this guy stayed on the committee, much less became the chairman, is beyond belief.

It seems nobody is taking their job very seriously. Just enough to get reelected. These people need the fear of God put back into them. Perhaps that is the only way things will get accomplished. God bless all the victims of the War on Terror

Iran is Shiite
So we need the Sunnis on our side to help fight Iran
And Al Qaeda is Sunni
So we need The Shiites on our side to help fight Al Qaeda
And Iran is harboring and helping Al Qaeda
So....I think my head just exploded

Congressman Sgt. Silvestre Reyes would do well to hire himself a tutor on the fractious tribes in Iraq as well as all in the Arab world. That should be a prerequisite for all members on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Why do they send good men to do jobs with no background or knowledge about what they are doing?

The congressman from the Dhimmicrat party knows his place as an infidel is not concern himself with the affairs of Islam - but to surrender.

The writer also rips into Republican members of the committee for not knowing certain things, though he doesn't detail them.
For the incoming chairman not to know this stuff. Well.
I remember when candidate Bush could not go through a litany of heads of state for some smart aleck Boston reporter...this Democrat won't get the same treatment from the broadcasters. He'll be lionized.

On the other hand, for this guy
not to know about Hezbollah, that just takes the cake.
Democrats are bleak.
