"her [meaning ME] understanding of Christianity is not at issue...Islam is"
I'm sorry, YOUR understanding of Christianity is at issue.
I'm not even talking about Islam at this point. It doesn't matter what the truth is about Islam in terms of your deciding that YOU can determine that a nation should use forced conversion to Christianity as a weapon, a literal impossibility and totally contradictory to the Founder of Christianity and His Words, Jesus Christ himself, the Son of God.
See my previous post.

Point to note........it was arthurus who first suggested using Christianity as a political weapon against Islam, ergo bringing up the subject of theology, and txrangerette who countered it with solid theological concepts, stating accurately that what was suggested by arthurus was the antithesis of Biblical Christianity, and therefore unacceptable as a means of dealing with Islam.
Perhaps the best thing would be for arthurus to back off his suggestion of using Christianity inappropriately, and try to come up with another theory as to how to deal with militant Islamists.
It might prevent any future need to correct his errant theology.....
