Those were my thoughts as well - also - doesn't he have other children, not just Michael? That's odd he would leave them out.

I think he's being self deprecating, in that he's assuming that people don't know who he is, thus he's naming his most famous relatives.

I think its because he wrote the editorial to appeal to the Gen Yers, and they know who Catherine Zeta-Jones is. They are less likely to know who Michael Douglas is, and who his previous wife and children were. He simply used the easiest way for people to say, 'oh yeah, I know her'.
