There is a big difference between Libertarians and libertarians. The party is a bunch of pro-drug loonies. The political philosophy is common among conservatives.

I find the Reagan Republicans to be closer to the libertarian political philosophy than the Libertarian party. The current crop of RINOs are neither conservative nor libertarian.

I'd have to agree with you there--there is a libertarian thrust in true Republican politics; the Libertarian PARTY is like a bunch of high school civics class geeks creating a design for how the world should work.
