Not really. Weren't all that many folks in Spain when part ~ PART ~ was conquered by Moslem invaders.

The people in the far North were not conquered.

The Reconquista was initiated by King San Cho Noe I who came from Cornwall and landed in Galicia. He and his people founded three kingdoms ~ Leon, Castile and Carvajal.

Together these three kingdoms served to conquer all of Spain and eventually displace Islamic authority.

Once that was done under Isabella and Ferdinand, they set their eyes to the West and conquered half a world.

Dhimmitude? You jest!

There's nothing wrong with Spain that a resumption of the Inquisition wouldn't solve.

I was facetious, of course. Spain did rule the world for a while, long ago. But the election after the train bombings and now this? Appeasement of the first order.
