I make it a point to say "Merry Christmas".

"Jettisoning Christmas-less cards is my tiny, almost certainly futile, gesture against the dark forces of political correctness. It's a swipe at those who would prefer to abolish Christmas altogether, in case it offends "minorities"."
INCLUDING THE GEORGE BUSH NON-CHRISTMAS "HOLIDAY" CARD, SORRY TO SAY.
To: freedomdefender
I'm afraid that "happy holidays" simply will not do. You can respond: "which holidays?" And then say "Happy/Merry [whatever it is]"

Not too fond of Fundamentalists or Evangelists, is he? I keep all my cards and date them and put them up every year. Inside most there are notes and usually a Merry Christmas. If I can get an address I would be glad to send him a real Christmas Card though.

For the first time since 2000 when G.W.Bush was still Gov. Bush, I haven't received a Christmas card from him. At least not yet. Maybe it's because I didn't give to the mid-term elections! Have most of them been received by now?

There is a season cartoon by the late Claude Serre [could be made into a card]: a maternity ward waiting room. On the right three wise men sitting, in crowns and turbans, each holding a small gift chest, smoking. Ashtray, full of cigarette butts. On the left Joseph in a rough robe, standing. A bull and a donkey. In the center the delivery room door is opened, and a nurse stands in it, holding the newborn twins.

Did you get a Ramadan greeting from Bush proclaiming Islam is the "religion of peace?"
