It is a pity. It's possible to showcase talent in a respectable manor. Why is this so hard to comprehend? My thoughts exactly. It's "Cabaret" for cryin' out loud! Just another desensitization hoisted by the insane pubic screwel system.
Feh!

Just be glad that they didn't have a bunch of high school boys dressed up in "attired in bras, teddies, foundation garments, garter belts and little else."
*shudder*

It will happen soon if it hasn't already.

An incredibly bad idea probably launched by someone who never read the book and doesn't understand the musical.

They actually did have a production of Rocky Horror at my college a couple years ago, and a then 17 year old girl from my high school was in it.

I did Rocky Horror for two years starting at age 18 (Brad, in case anyone cares). Our youngest cast member was 16, and a couple were 17.
Good times.

Is it accurate in the movie? Are they playing every detail of the movie?Cabaret was a Broadway musical (debuted in 1966), before it was a movie (1972). So, they should be accurate to the Broadway musical.

"Yes, but high school girls are not sex objects"They are to high school boys....
And a fair number of adult men on this board.
To: Wormwood
The plotline is very simple. A singer/performer has an affair with two bisexual men. She becomes pregnant by one, has an abortion and sings a song to cheer herself up.
