That's horrible! I'm sure there are dozens of illegals or unknown murders in the area as well.
New Orleans has had the highest murder rate in the country for several years ... and it appears they're putting their foot down on LA trying to take that title!
WWL reported an expected murder total of 175 this year (around Halloween). The metro population is still slightly over 1 million ... apply that to LA's numbers ... AND ... 2,975 -> the overall murders would dwarf Iraq!

I just noticed something about those stats; they're for the CITY of Los Angeles, not the COUNTY. It's missing all sorts of high-crime areas.
