Actually written by Steve "City of New Orleans" Goodman.


That would have been quite the trick for even someone of Goodman's amazing talent, as Goodman was born in 1948, and Hank Williams Sr. released "Mind Your Own Business" in 1949 when Goodman was only a year old.

And don't misunderstand - this is not at all a slam on Goodman (who is one of my favorite artists too), who died way before his time.

My bad, I thought Steve wrote it, I was confusing it with "You never even call me by my name", which David Allen Coe made big.

I agree, Goodman was a talent we lost too soon...
