After working with kids in from the inner cities, I have changed my mind regarding gay marriage.

It's more important for the kids to be raised by adults who love them; who give a damn about them.....the sexual orientation of those raising the kids is secondary IMHO.

In far too many instances hetero couples have destroyed the lives of these kids, not to mentioned destroyed themselves. Gay couple who truly care about the future of their kids are worth their weight in gold in comparison with the kids whose fathers are dead from gunshot wounds, uncles who are drunk on a gallon of malt liquor and urinating on their lawns in front of their nephews ad nieces or a grandfather forced into fatherhood who falls asleep in his own puke in front of his 8th granddaughter who was fathered by the 8th different guy who slept with the daughter.

Yes folks...hetero households are that screwed up in too many cases...I've seen it.

Can two loving parents of the same sex be worse? No.

The flaw in your argument is that there is no such thing. Gay relationships are based on a severe behavioral disorder. As such it is unfair to bring a child into a household with that kind of instability and confusion.

While your statement is true, the statistics are - and will remain - a lower number of screw-ups among the children who grow up with their own married mom and dad than for any other family formation. That is the point here. There are some things it is still too important to allow just anyone to do it, like being a surgeon or a dentist or a married mother and father. They are responsible for raising the next generation of citizens.

Your "arguments" align with the left's -- if people on the right aren't absolutely perfect at marriage/parenting, then absolutely everyone else gets a shot, because "morality is whatever makes you feel good about yourself", regardless of the consequences to others -- in this case, to innocent children who will always, always be in an extreme minority and be "different" in ways no amount of legislation can dislodge.
