What is curious about this whole issue to me is why they did not adopt.....

I am a straight conservative who had breast cancer at 26.

In spite of the inspring sitcoms...there aren't a whole lot of men who want a woman without breasts.

I would have loved to be pregnant. To go through the whole experience. Why do you think Mary would not want to do the same?

Why should Mary not want to carry a child, give birth?

I am hoping this viewpoint will pass away in a generation...and I am not young.

I am sorry for your pain and loss. But hoping that lesbians can adopt or have fatherless children will never make up for your losses, and the shallowness of the men you encountered is not the best or most comprehensive way to consider a radical change to society that will affect innocent children who will have no choice in the matter.

Parenting requires sacrifice. Gay parenting flies in the face of the entire idea of sacrifice, starting with the deliberate decision to deprive a child of one of its biological parents from the get-go. This is a supremely selfish decision in which the parent places her own agenda higher than the needs of the child.
